Dr. Bradd G. Burkhart earned a doctorate in medicine with honors from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. He served as a resident in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Orlando Regional Medical Center before completing fellowships in orthopedic sports medicine at Wellington Orthopedics and University of Cincinnati Sports Medicine. Following his fellowships, he was affiliated with Blue Ridge Bone and Joint in Asheville, NC.

Dr. Burkhart is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon licensed in medicine in the states of Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina and Ohio. He is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, North Carolina Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, as well as Orange and Buncombe County Medical Societies. He is also licensed by the Drug Enforcement Administration to safely dispense pain medications to injured athletes.

Previously working as assistant team physician for the University of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Bengals, Dr. Burkhart helped football and basketball players recover quickly and return to high level athletics. He has been awarded honors such as first place in the Florida Orthopedic Society Resident Research Competition and Orlando Regional Medicine Department of Orthopedic Surgery Research Award. He is a current reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine and has also been involved in research, authored articles in professional publications and performed presentations at professional conferences and meetings.

Dr. Burkhart, his wife and their young son recently moved to Winter Park to make Central Florida their home.
