Dr. Christensen attended
New York University where he
completed his B.S. degree.
Dr. Christensen received his
M.D. degree from Uniformed
Services University of Health
Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda,
MD. He completed his general
surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at
Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base
in San Antonio, TX. He also completed a one year fellowship
in acute and reconstructive hand surgery/ microsurgery
at Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis, IN.
Throughout his career, Dr.
Christensen has been
involved in research and teaching with numerous publications
and presentations to his credit. He was an associate
Professor of Surgery at USHUS. He retired from
the US Air Force as Chairman of the Orthopaedic
Residency Program at Wilford Hall Medical Center and
was a consultant to the Air Force Surgeon General.
Dr. Christensen is
board certified by the American
Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has a certificate of
Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery. He is a member
of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and is
a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic
Surgeons.
