Born in Brunswick, New Jersey,
Dr. Wiernik attended the
University of Miami in Miami,
Florida, on a 4-year academic
scholarship, where he completed
his B.S. degree in Biology. He
then went on to complete his
Masters degree in Biomedical
Science. He earned his D.P.M. degree from Barry
University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami
Shores, Florida, where he was accepted into the Pi Delta
Honor Society. Dr. Wiernik completed his foot and
ankle surgical residency at Florida Hospital in Orlando,
Florida.
Dr. Wiernik enjoys the green of the Florida golf
courses and the fast tracks of drag racing.
Dr. Wiernik gives frequent foot and ankle lectures
and presentations to physicians as well as other healthcare
professionals.
Dr. Wiernik specializes in foot and ankle surgery and
is Board Certified in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.
Among the few in central Florida, Dr. Wiernik holds additional certification
in Reconstructive Rearfoot / Ankle surgery. He is a member of the Florida
Podiatric Medical Association, the American Podiatric Medical Association
and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is a Diplomate
of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
