About Our Speakers
Ravi R. Patel, M.D.
Dr. Patel completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Emory University Clinic and Hospitals in Atlanta, GA. He then completed a spine surgery fellowship at the Harvard Combined Spine Program in Boston, MA. He served as associate surgeon at Harvard Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Prior to joining Orlando Orthopaedic Center, Dr. Patel worked as a staff physician and spinal surgeon in Newport Beach, CA. He is an active member of many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.
Robyn Lewis
Robyn Lewis is the Regional Manager of Work Strategies for Select Medical based in the Georgia market. Robyn received her degree in Physical Therapy from University of Florida and since 1995, she has specialized in industrial medicine including the treatment of work related injuries. She has assisted employers in developing Post Offer Employment Tests and has initiated onsite therapy programs for major corporations including Coca-Cola and Lockheed Martin. She has provided injury prevention programs, ergonomics, job task analysis and workstation ergo assessments and has been a presenter for nurse case managers, public entities, employers, and work comp related association confernces. She works with Select’s clinical staff in furthering their education and skills in the delivery of industrial services. Robyn is certified as a Functional Capacity Evaluator, a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist and has also received training through the IAIME for the performance of impairment ratings. She is passionate about providing the biopsychosocial approach for the treatment of all patients but especially the complex chronic pain patients.
