This program focuses on evidence-based practices for use of the latest technology and surgical procedures used to treat orthopaedic conditions and injuries associated with musculoskeletal trauma of the knee. Surgical techniques for knee arthroplasty specifically with the use of a robotic-assisted arm will be presented and discussed in a live setting. It also includes an in-depth look at the pre and post patient preparation, surgical equipment, and related anatomy for a knee arthroplasty patient. Program content is designed to assist healthcare providers with acquiring the skills and knowledge to provide quality care, management and to improve patient outcomes with knee pathologies.
Educational Objectives
- Participants will be able to identify and discuss knee arthritis pathology and the related anatomy in patients that can be addressed with arthroplasty using robotic-assisted devices.
- Participants will be able to discuss and describe operative techniques for a robotic-assisted knee arthroplasty to address this pathology.
- Participants will be able to identify surgical tools and equipment required for a robotic-assisted knee arthroplasty.
- Participants will be able to describe the pre and post patient preparation and protocols required for robotic-assisted knee arthroplasty.
- Participants will be able implement and enhance clinical knowledge and skills of orthopaedic injury evaluation to improve patient outcomes.
