About Dr. Downing

Born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Dr. Downing has been practicing family medicine in the greater Orlando area since 1998. He attended Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He went on to complete both his osteopathic internship and his family medicine residency at Florida Hospital East Orlando.

Prior to joining Orlando Orthopaedic Center, Dr. Downing operated his own family medicine practice in Casselberry for 19 years.

Dr. Downing loves playing and watching sports of any kind. Dr. Downing is an active member of the Central Florida community in which he readily donates his time to local sports clubs, youth leagues, or high school sports.

Dr. Downing is certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.

Andrew J. Beverly, PA-C

Andrew J. Beverly is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in health sciences with a focus in athletic training. He continued his education at Nova Southeastern University where he earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies.

Prior to joining Orlando Orthopedic Center, Mr. Beverly worked as an orthopaedic physician assistant (PA-C) in Nashville, Tennessee where he gained experience in a variety of orthopedic subspecialties including hand, foot and ankle, spine, and sports medicine.

Tashanya Campos, PA-C

Tashanya Campos, PA-C, has vast experience as an educator and a physician. Tashanya attended the University of Central Florida and graduated with her first Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.

She taught in the public school system for four years before transitioning to a private school setting. Tashanya was awarded Teacher of The Year Award twice during her teaching career. Her classroom integrated many children with special needs. In learning about her students’ syndromes, she fell in love with medicine and decided to enroll back in school.

Justin R. Stearns, PA-C

Justin R. Stearns, PA-C, was born in Massachusetts and raised in Orlando, Florida. He attended Valencia College to earn his associates degree in Radiologic Sciences before earning his bachelors in Radiologic Sciences from the University of Central Florida. He then attended the University of Florida to complete his masters degree in Physicians Assistant Studies, receiving his Physician Assistant certification.

At the start of his medical career, Justin worked at Orlando Regional Medical Center, serving as Diagnostic Radiology Supervisor, Lead Diagnostic Operating Room Technologist, and Radiology Technologist over the course of nearly a decade. In these roles, he provided direct patient care and monitored the daily operations of the patient and staff workflow, ensuring the highest quality patient care. He then worked at the Fracture Care Center at Florida Hospital, where he worked with the surgical team and in radiology.

Donald Miller, PA-C

Don Miller, PA-C, has over a decade of experience as a certified physician assistant specializing in surgical support and orthopaedic care. Mr. Miller earned a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and holds certifications from the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine and the state of Florida to provide healthcare under the supervision of a licensed physician.

Before joining Orlando Orthopaedic Center, Mr. Miller worked for over 16 years as an orthopeadic physician assistant, where he has experience serving as a first surgical assistant, clinic management, and emergency care, with proficiency in diagnostics. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Mr. Miller is actively engaged in orthopaedic clinical research and consistently pursues further education in the orthopaedic field.
