Routine cases involve new injuries with straightforward treatment pathways, typically first-time injuries with no prior treatment history to the affected area. These cases are managed through our Workforce Advantage program with same-day or next-day access, direct communication with adjusters, and proactive return-to-work planning.

A matter may be considered complex workers’ compensation when one or more of the following apply:

• Date of injury is more than 6 months old
• Pre-existing injury to the same body part(s)
• Prior specialist treatment to the same body part(s) for the same claim or injury
• Pain management referrals outside of Orlando Orthopaedic Center
• Second opinions
• One-time change of physician for the claim or injury

Complex cases are coordinated through our dedicated work comp team to ensure continuity, thorough documentation, and clear communication with all parties involved.
