Scholarships and Grants
Providing education opportunities for future allied healthcare professionals is a cornerstone of the Orlando Orthopaedic Center Foundation’s mission.
We regularly give to students and allied healthcare professionals pursuing a career in sports medicine.
UCF Scholarships & Grants
Each year the Orlando Orthopaedic Center Foundation donates to the UCF Student Physical Therapy Association (SPTA) and the UCF Student Athletic Trainers’ Organization (SATO) to help fund additional education and training opportunities for future allied healthcare professionals.
To date, more than $50,000 has been donated for the two UCF programs.
A portion of each donation is earmarked for a scholarship benefiting an outstanding UCF student majoring in Athletic Training or physical therapy, respectively.
Chris Payer Honorary Sports Medicine Scholarship
Honoring Chris Payer, a Foundation board member and ardent supporter of youth athletics and education who tragically passed away in early 2019, this scholarship is given annually to an Orange and Seminole County High School student who participates in their school’s athletic training and education activities with plans to pursue a sports medicine-related career.
Two $2,500 financial scholarships are awarded to be used for college education.
Maximus Robinson Scholarship Fund
To honor the legacy of Maximus Robinson, an exceptional 11-year-old whose athletic spirit shone in soccer, flag football, basketball, and kickball, the Orlando Orthopaedic Center Foundation introduces the Give Kids Sports Maximus Robinson Scholarship Fund to provide financial aid for Central Florida children ages 8-14 to engage in youth sports within the community.
