2025 Orthopaedic Update Conference Welcomes 600+ Attendees
On Saturday, August 9, the Orlando Orthopaedic Center Foundation hosted its 21st Annual Orthopaedic Update Conference and welcomed 600+ attendees to the Rosen Centre Hotel.
Proceeds from the event benefit the 501(c)(3) Orlando Orthopaedic Center Foundation and its mission to provide the highest quality sports medicine and orthopaedic education to our healthcare community to further aid our youth athletes.

This full-day agenda promulgated the latest insights into orthopaedic and musculoskeletal care. Tailored to empower healthcare professionals, like physical therapists and athletic trainers, the program emphasized enhancing care quality and patient recovery outcomes. Attendees also had the chance to earn valuable Continuing Education Units (CEUs) at an affordable rate.
The Foundation extended a generous donation to the UCF Student Athletic Trainers’ Organization (SATO). With the Foundation’s biannual conferences, more than $60,000 has been gifted to both UCF’s Student Physical Therapy Association (SPTA) and SATO since the conference’s commencement. In addition, $2,000 was allocated for the Orlando Orthopaedic Center Foundation Scholarship to an outstanding UCF student majoring in Athletic Training. This year’s recipient was Adriana Bravo.
During the event, the Foundation also presented the Chris Payer Honorary Sports Medicine Scholarship to one Seminole county high school student who is pursuing a career in sports medicine. The scholarship was named in honor of Chris Payer, an Orlando Orthopaedic Center Foundation board member who passed away unexpectedly. This year’s recipient was Elena Hill.
Proceeds from the event will continue to fuel the Foundation’s dedication to helping youth athletes utilize sports to develop a lifetime of healthy habits playing the game they love.
