Dr. Lawrence S. Halperin Makes 2012 Top Doctors List from U.S. News & World Report

Lawrence S. Halperin, M.D., of Orlando Orthopaedic Center was recently selected as a 2012 Top Doctor featured in U.S. News and World Report. Dr Halperin‘s Top Doctors selection was based on nominations submitted by peer  physicians in Central Florida. Dr. Halperin is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery.

Dr. Halperin earned his medical degree at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center’s College of Medicine. Following his residency he went on to complete a one-year fellowship in hand and arm surgery at the SUNY’s Health Sciences Center in Syracuse, NY Doctor Halperin is Vice President of the Orange County Medical Society, serves on the Executive Committee of the Florida Orthopedic Society and the Board of Councilors of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has a Subspecialty Certificate in Hand Surgery from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Halperin previously served as the Chief of Orthopaedics at Lucerne Medical Center and as a member of the State of Florida Surgical Neuro-Musculoskeletal Guideline Committee. He has also served on the Orthopaedic Quality Assurance Committee at Orlando Regional Healthcare System and served as co-director of the RSD treatment at Lucerne Medical Center.
