Raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Reuss attended the University of Kansas where he earned his B.A. in biology. He earned his M.D. degree with honors from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. While in medical school, he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and served as class president for all four years of medical school.
With dedication to sports medicine advancements, Dr.Reuss has published literature in Orthopaedic journals and continues to work on research projects in the field of sports medicine. He also has lectured to distinguished audiences on numerous topics related to orthopaedic sports medicine. In addition, he has served as a faculty member of Orlando Health’s Orthopaedic Residency and University of Central Florida College of Medicine, and department chairman of orthopaedic surgery at Orlando Health.
Dedicated to our community, Dr. Reuss volunteers as a team physician and works with the schools in our sports medicine network, including Boone HS Braves, University HS Cougars,Timber Creek HS Wolves, Oak Ridge HS Pioneers, Hagerty HS Huskies, Lake Brantley HS Patriots, Lyman HS Greyhounds, Lake Howell HS Silverhawks, Oviedo HS Lions, Winter Springs HS Bears, East River HS Falcons, Apopka HS Blue Darters, Lake Mary Prep HS Griffins, Evans HS Trojans, Trinity Preparatory School Saints, and the Seminole Community College Raiders.
For his efforts, The Athletic Trainers‘ Association of Florida gave Dr. Reuss their Sports Medicine Person of the Year in 2010.
Dr. Reuss is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, The National Athletic Trainers’ Association, and The Athletic Trainers’ Association of Florida. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine, specializing in knee, shoulder, and hip injuries.

Melissa J. Worsfold, PA-C
Born in North Carolina and raised in Tampa, Melissa is a graduate from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies. Her primary responsibility at Orlando Orthopaedic Center is to assist Bryan L. Reuss, M.D., with the management of his sports medicine practice.
Prior to joining the Orlando Orthopedic Center, Melissa practiced at a Level I trauma center as an orthopedic PA-C, gaining experience in total joint replacements, trauma injuries and shoulder/knee arthroscopies.
