About Dr. Davenport
Dr. Davenport is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery, offering a broad spectrum of orthopaedic care to patients throughout Central Florida. He provides both nonoperative and surgical treatment for general orthopaedic conditions, including adult reconstructive procedures and joint replacements in the hand.
After earning his undergraduate degree at Duke University, Dr. Davenport then completed a Master of Science in Anatomy, followed by his M.D. at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill. He completed his general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Florida, Gainesville, and went on to complete his fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. As a Fellow of the American College of Orthopedic Surgeons, Dr. Davenport was also a member of the ORMC Level I Trauma Team for more than 20 years, managing complex injuries to hands and upper extremities.
He was also the spring training orthopaedic team physician fo the Atlanta Braves from 2014 to 2019.
Over the years, his commitment to patient-centered care and surgical excellence has been recognized with honors, including being named to the Castle Connolly Regional Top Doctors list every year from 2012 to 2025, receiving the America’s Most Compassionate Doctors award (2012, 2013), and receiving the Patient’s Choice Physician award (2012, 2013).
