About Dr. Davis
Ryan A. Davis, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in primary and revision hip and knee replacements at Orlando Orthopaedic Center. Born and raised in South Florida, he pursued his undergraduate degree in Biology at Florida Atlantic University, where he graduated magna cum laude and competed collegiately all four years in cross country and track and field. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Florida while cultivating his passion for teaching and international medical service work.
Following medical school, Dr. Davis completed a General Surgery Internship at the University of Texas Southwestern, followed by the completion of his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. During his residency training he developed a passion for joint replacement surgery and chose to further specialize his training by completing an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Davis is an active member of many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the American Orthopaedic Association. He has authored numerous research articles and has committed himself to embrace surgical techniques and advancements that are at the forefront of the specialty.
He has received several awards and honors that exemplify his leadership and interest in education and medical service, some of which include being chosen to be the Administrative Chief Resident during his residency training, serving as a teaching assistant at both Florida Atlantic University and the University of South Florida, and serving as the president of a busy international medical service organization while in medical school.
In his free time, Dr. Davis enjoys running, traveling, camping, enjoying the beautiful Florida beaches, and sharing time with his family and friends.
