About Dr. Rivera
Sebastian Rivera, M.D., M.B.A., is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spinal surgery. He is a Florida native, growing up in south Florida. He studied Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida for his undergraduate degree, graduating Cum Laude. He then attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where he graduated with a combined M.D./M.B.A degree with a specialization in Healthcare Administration.
Dr. Rivera completed his orthopaedic surgery internship and residency at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then completed an orthopaedic spine fellowship at the nationally renowned Norton Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville, KY. He has been at Orlando Orthopaedic Center since 2022 and serves his patients in both English and Spanish.
Dr. Rivera is a member of numerous professional societies, including North American Spine Society, the Florida Orthopaedic Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has nearly a dozen peer-reviewed publications in his specialty and has a long history of community service, including medical service trips.
Outside of his professional career, Dr. Rivera enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, staying active, and traveling.
